LandArbeit 07 – a local art project

As from May, a whole village will become a hub for the production of esthetical practice. An active focus will be on the existing local social, scenic and cultural conditions.
The art project LandArbeit, led by Christine Biehler and Jürgen Fritz, investigates how present positions in contemporary art, based on interdisciplinary concepts and participation, can be visualised with an emphasis on work in rural areas.
A project team from the course Cultural Sciences at Hildesheim University will be in charge of the implementation. Responsible body is the registered society Netzwerk Kultur und Heimat Börde &Leinetal e.V.. The project is grant-aided i.a. by the Federal Cultural Foundation.
